100th Day Celebration

Kaitlin had her 1ooth day of school - here is a little of the big day! Aunt Marian thanks so much for helping me to be a part of it!

FUN TUESDAY!!!!

Today we had lots of fun utilizing lots of free entertainment with friends!

First we went to Chik Fil A and got free Ice Cream from past prizes that we had saved! Kaitlin, Austin, Lauren and Jackson all enjoyed their treat!

Then the group played at the play area in the mall!

Later in the day we went to the library for a puppet show - here are Max, Kaitlin, OV, and Margaret.

Jackson wouldn't join the group picture - he thought this looked like a better spot!

Most all of last week items are still on sale - go back to my post from last week - most of those sales carried over - I am going to list a few new ones. The only sale that did not carry over was the Free Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks.

Fun Times with Friends

This week we got to go to see the new Veggies Tales movie with friends. Afterwards, the kids "played" with the video games. Of course, they didn't seem to realize that they weren't turned on- Hooray!

Savings for the Week of Jan. 20th

Well I have just quickly skimmed the ads this week. I didn't find a lot this week.

Coupons -
I have a few things that are on my list of NEVER pay 10 cents or more for this item - most preferably it should always be free. One of these items has a coupon in this week's insert. It is Frank's Hot Sauce. It is a 50 cent coupon. If you take it anywhere that doubles coupons, you will probably be able to find a bottle that is priced at 99 cents or somewhere close to this amount. Trust me, we have enough Frank's Hot Sauce to last years - Ha!

Kroger -
Kroger has promotions from time to time that you might not really be aware of - this week they are having two of these type promotions. Please don't miss them - especially if you are buying the foods that qualify anyway!!!!!

1- Selected General Mills Cereals - they are on sale and with a coupon - you can get them for $1.99 each. Here is the catch - don't miss this - if you buy 4 boxes of cereal - you can get 2 boxes of Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks FREE. You do not need a coupon - they will just come off your total at the check out!

2- The second promotion is a little more complicated. It involves buying 9 items of their selected game day products. If you buy 9 of the products, the cash register will automatically take $6.00 off of your groceries. This participating items have special yellow tags, and I am sure that they are throughout the store. I am going to list a few below. The prices aren't great, but if you calculate in the additional $6 afterwards - it takes your cost down!

Savings for the Week of Jan. 13th

Hello all!

Well it is a great week for savings! My hope is that you will start learning what things the grocery store use as their loss leaders, so you can also get these things free. You will do this by looking for the coupon for the product. Then you save it and use it when the product goes on sale.

Today was a wonderful day at Kroger. They are having some great sales this week. I bought $180.25 in groceries, but I only paid $87.70 (after sales and coupons). Hopefully you will have the same luck - as always please let me know if any of these things help you or if you know any great deals for me to share!

Ingles -
I do not shop at Ingles, but I did notice that they are having triple coupons this week. It looks like they have a lot of rules attached to this promotion, so make sure to pay attention to the rules. Typically a triple coupon promotion is anything 50 cents and below is tripled, but again, it looks like they have more rules in addition to the usual.

Get it in your head that when a good week like this comes - stock up! I have enough Ragu to last the rest of the year after today - Ha!

Cheering for the Kindergarten Boys

Each week at Upward Cheerleading, we cheer for a different team. This week we got to cheer for the Kindergarten Boys. There are two boys in Kaitlin's class that are on the team, so everyone has been excited for the game all week!

Who Needs Toys???

In our playroom, we have bins to organize our toys. One bin has balls, one has Little People and so on. It is organized craziness! This day when I walked into the room. Kaitlin and Jackson had dumped all of the bins out and dumped the toys on the ground. Then they stacked the bins up in a tower, and this is how I found them. They were both in the same bin, and they were acting like they were driving a car!

Then they decided to make the bins a train!

Fun Time's with Shannon and Luke

Shannon is a friend that Kaitlin has made in school. She has a little brother that is Jackson's age, so there is a play mate for everyone!

Here they are having some snacks - I am really becoming less controlling - notice the cups have NO LIDS!!!!! Ha!

This is one of Kaitlin's most favorite Christmas presents. She and Shannnon pretty much built this on their own, and we all had fun dropping marbles in it.

Luke and Jackson also had fun with the trains!

People are always asking me how I save so much money with coupons, so I am hoping to update this site with any weekly deals that I might find. If you find a great one, please let me know about it too. Then we can all save!!!!

First Day of Cheerleading

Kaitlin had her first day of being a cheerleader today, and she loved it! She wants to go back tomorrow! Here she is with her team!
